What is diversity?

Diversity refers to including, involving and recognising the diverse needs of individuals from different social, economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, genders, disabilities, sexual orientations, religions and more. Diverse workforces can give businesses a competitive edge.

What is inclusion?

Inclusion is the process of creating an environment in which individuals or members of groups feel welcomed, heard, respected, supported, valued and able to reach their full potential, whatever their background or identity or whatever disabilities they have.

Are you embedding a culture of inclusion?

The law requires all employers to treat every employee fairly and avoid discrimination. Providing a workplace that is inclusive by design is an efficient and positive approach to disability inclusion, but we understand a shift in culture doesn't happen overnight.

Whilst there will always be a need for some individual reasonable adjustments, looking at processes and ways of working and removing as many barriers as possible makes for a better working environment for everyone and allows you to attract, onboard and develop the very best talent for your team. A gap analysis for the workplace can help drive positive change.
