Our free learning online session, Simple tech tips for hearing loss, featured our expert Usability and Accessibility Consultant, Beck Lambourne, who highlighted digital adjustments that can aid with hearing loss. 

Plus AbilityNet's Head of Finance, Fiona Watson, shared her experience of being deaf and how the digital devices and apps she uses can help you too. 

Aimed at older people and some of the issues they may commonly face, in the webinar we highlighted a variety of hearing loss-related tools and techniques that can make a difference, including: 

  • Hearing aids and loops
  • Radio aids
  • Sensory alerts
  • Free built-in options on digital devices (Apple and Android)
  • Subtitled cinema
  • BSL interpretation
