Guest speaker John Pettigrew from Parkinson's UK joined AbilityNet's Lizi Green on the webinar. This online session shared:

  • Accessing Accessibility features for iPhone and iPad, Android and tablets
  • Assistive technology that can help with common mobility and dexterity issues
  • Suggestions for tech to tackle dexterity problems including tremors and symptoms related to Parkinson's
  • Free resources from AbilityNet on mobility, age and tech

Lizi GreenLizi Green, AbilityNet

Lizi Green is Disability Consultant at AbilityNet. She started working at AbilityNet in 2016 and over the years she has worked her way up through the levels of the team and is now responsible for delivering Disability Inclusion sessions, and developing workplace inclusion services to a range of clients across all sectors. Lizi has worked as an administration manager which gave her experience in leading multiple teams across the organisation.  

She is passionate about assistive technology being widely available and easily accessible. As part of her role she runs tech demo events that showcase free and low cost apps to help in education.

John Pettigrew is a hat wearer, recovering editor and Senior Product Manager of the Parkinson's UK Tech Guide. He spent most his career in publishing, and then spent most of the past 15 years running two software startup businesses. For the past 18 months, he's been at Parkinson's UK, building this new resource to help people with Parkinson's make confident decisions about the devices and apps that claim to help them live better lives.
