TechShare Pro Code of Conduct

AbilityNetTechShare Pro is an inclusive event. We work hard to ensure that the event is welcoming to anyone that wishes to attend.

This includes:

  • Creating a friendly and welcoming environment.
  • Having and upholding a Code of Conduct.
  • Aiming for a balance of speakers in terms of age, disability, gender, gender identity, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation and socio-economic status.
  • Support workers/personal assistants attending free of charge.
  • Working with SociAbility to ensure venue accessibility information is available to all speakers and delegates.
  • Live captions for plenary sessions and breakouts and Slido is used for questions. BSL interpretation.
  • Guide and assistance dogs are welcomed
  • Requesting advance information about specific accessibility and dietary requirements and making reasonable adjustments Discounted tickets for non-profit organisations.

Code of Conduct

  • All attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers at our conference are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Organisers will enforce this code throughout the event.
  • We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody.
  • Our conference is dedicated to providing an inclusive and harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices.
  • We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form.
  • Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, parties, Twitter and other online media.
  • Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organisers.
