Meet your panellists
Sara John, NatWest
Sara John is a Senior Digital Accessibility Specialist at NatWest Group with over 10 years' experience in digital accessibility. Her interest began when she led a technology improvement programme, helping NatWest achieve ‘Gold’ status by the Business Disability Forum.
Sara then moved to the NatWest Assistive Technology Team, where she supported colleagues with their assistive technology needs. Recognising the significance of digital accessibility Sara presented a compelling business case directly to NatWest’s Executive Committee, highlighting the value and necessity of accessible platforms for both customers and employees. Through her advocacy and leadership, she’s influenced policy and decision-making at the highest level within the organisation, and was shortlisted for two Women in Technology Awards 2023 for her efforts.
Sara now works on a Bank-wide Digital Accessibility Team, ensuring digital accessibility practices continually improve and embed across NatWest Group. She regularly represents NatWest at disability awareness events and delivers internal presentations.
Danny Josephs, Wavemaker/ WPP Media
Danny Josephs leads creative/production at Wavemaker/WPP media. With more than 25 years’ experience in advertising, including other senior roles at WPP, and Saatchi & Saatchi, Danny is also Chair of the Advertising Association’s ‘All In’ disability group, where he champions greater inclusion and experience across the industry.
Having only recently become physically disabled himself, Danny is a passionate advocate for accessibility and representation, working to challenge perceptions and create more inclusive workplaces for disabled people.
Robin Christopherson, MBE, Head of Digital Inclusion at AbilityNet
Robin is Head of Digital Inclusion at AbilityNet and a leading light in the global community of accessibility and digital inclusion specialists.
Robin's experience of sight-loss gives him a first-hand experience of the power of digital tech to transform people's lives - and he loves nothing more than showing people how he uses computers, the internet, his phone, Amazon Alexa and many other technologies as part of his daily life.
Robin is also a passionate and powerful advocate for accessibility, inclusive design and digital inclusion, making the case for social and technical changes to business, government, third sector, universities and many other organisations.
