In this, the first of our new series of workplace focused webinars, we welcome Michael Vermeersch (pictured), Digital Inclusion Lead at Microsoft. He will discuss how the mulitinational organisation approaches accessible recruitment practices. On the session, Michael will share:

  • how Microsoft communicates with potential candidates about being an inclusive employer with an inclusive recruitment process
  • how Microsoft makes sure that the processes are applied consistently across the whole organisation.

AbilityNet's Head of HR, Mairead Comerford, will speak about avoiding discrimination and unconscious bias within the recruitment process.

We'll outline AbilityNet's own recognition in the field of accessible recruitment - we are proud to be an approved Disability Confident Leader with inclusive recruitment practices.

You will also get a chance to consider your own recruitment processes by answering a selection of questions from the AbilityNet workplace inclusion GAP analysis and find out how small changes can make a big difference in attracting diverse talent into your organisation.

The webinar will be a fantastic refresher for those working in HR and recruitment, but also an insightful session for those looking to expand their knowledge about how to ensure a more inclusive and accessible workplace overall.
