Since 2011, the AbilityNet Tech4Good Awards have celebrated organisations and individuals who are using technology to make a real difference. Many past winners have gone on to achieve global impact.

  • Be My Eyes has transformed accessibility by connecting blind and low-vision users with volunteers and, more recently, AI-powered visual assistance, showing how technology can unlock independence at scale.
  • Open Bionics has reimagined prosthetics, combining cutting-edge engineering with inclusive design to create affordable, functional and empowering solutions.
  • What3Words has provided a simple yet powerful way to identify precise locations anywhere in the world, supporting everything from emergency response to humanitarian aid.
  • Peek Vision has brought eye care to underserved communities, using smartphone technology to deliver screening and treatment where it’s needed most.
  • NaviLens has improved navigation for blind and partially sighted people through innovative digital markers that can be scanned from a distance.

These examples show what’s possible when technology is designed with people and real-world challenges at its heart.
