Free training to help your charity include everyone

Lloyds Bank Foundation logo showing a green and black horse on its hind legsIntroducing The Lloyds Bank Foundation programme, delivered in partnership with AbilityNet, designed to make your charity more inclusive for everyone. 

Are you part of a registered UK charity or Community Interest Company (CIC) that supports people with any type of financial support, such as money management, accessing benefits, debt support? If so, you’re eligible.   

The programme offers three free online training sessions designed and delivered by expert accessibility and disability consultants, worth over £400.  

You’ll join other charities in a collaborative learning environment and also have the option for 1:1 support and personalised advice to tackle your organisation’s specific challenges. 

You’ll learn lots of practical tips to support your clients, including: 

  • How to make your website and online content more accessible to everyone 
  • Practical tips and tools to make your communications inclusive for all 
  • How to host accessible and inclusive online support sessions and events 

The training is completely free and will help you remove digital barriers and reach more people effectively. 

Who should attend? 

This training would be particularly useful for roles in the charity that involve digital communication, client engagement and service delivery.

Examples include:

  • Digital Comms Officer/Managers that may be responsible for social media or online content. 
  • Marketing roles that need to ensure campaigns and materials are inclusive and reach diverse audiences.
  • Support Workers and Advisors that host onlines sessions, or provide remote support. 
  • Programme Coordinators that involve client interaction and can ensure inclusivity in all touchpoints.
  • Operations Managers and Heads of Service Delivery who want to ensure accessibility is embedded across the organisation.
  • HR Officers that communciate with existing and new employees regularly and wish to make sure they do so in the most inclusive way.

A minimum of 2 people per charity should attend, with up to 3 places available per charity. Each participant would need to be able to commit to 3 sessions of up to 2 hours each, spread over 4-6 weeks. Plus 1-2 hours each week of follow up tasks and ad-hoc support.
