Digital Gwynedd / Gwynedd Ddigidol

Digital Gwynedd / Gwynedd Ddigidol helps residents in the surrounding area to build digital skills and confidence and provides devices and internet connectivity when possible.

We work collaboratively across Gwynedd with local organisations to tackle digital exclusion.

How AbilityNet can help in Gwynedd

Lake with beautiful mountainous countryside around it at duskOur approach is catered to those we help. We offer one-to-one, group, and drop-in sessions in the community, and can offer home support sessions depending on capacity.

In 2025, we are supporting people to gain digital skills support for the workplace. These sessions can help those already employed to boost their skillset, or support you to look for work. However, we are set up to support anyone who needs help to get online.

Our sessions often cover:

  • Staying safer online
  • Communicating using email, social media, video calls
  • Setting up a device
  • Support to get employment; creating a CV, creating a job profile online, looking for jobs online
  • Upskill for the workplace: looking for courses, using marketing and business tools
  • Feel confident to bank and shop online
  • Navigating Council and Government websites.
  • Support with filling in online forms i.e bus passes, Driving License renewal etc.

Digital Inclusion Network

The Digital Gwynedd project runs the Digital Inclusion Network, for organisations who work in and support residents in the area. The purpose of the network is to facilitate a joined-up approach to digital inclusion across Gwynedd, to increase levels of digital inclusion.

The network meets on a quarterly basis, discussing a variety of topics and updates on the project. Previous topics have included accessibility in the workplace, online safety, using AI to help your work, and Cost of Living crisis support.

If you would like to join our network, please get in touch via email at digital.gwynedd@abilitynet.org.uk
