Disabled User Tester Application Privacy Information

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Disabled User Tester with AbilityNet. 

If you apply to be a user tester, we will require your express consent to use your information for certain purposes.

Please note that you can withdraw your consent for us to hold & process your data at any time, which you can do by emailing usertesting@abilitynet.org.uk and requesting to be removed from our records / database.

Please be aware that for us to invite you to opportunities that are relevant to you, we need to collect some information from you, including:

• Contact details
• Demographic information.
• Disability / impairment information.
• Information about any devices or assistive technology that you use.

We use an EU based cloud database to store this information securely and only share it internally with our Project Planning, Sales, Finance & Accessibility Consultancy teams.

Your personal information will not be shared with third parties, however if required the results from your testing will be provided to AbilityNet customers anonymously. Please note that the results provided to AbilityNet customers may include an anonymised, general summary of the participants who participated in the opportunity.

Any information shared with you by AbilityNet or our client during recruitment, an opportunity, or any testing sessions, is strictly confidential and must not be disclosed to anyone else.
If you agree to participate in an opportunity and fail to attend your session (separate to withdrawing your consent to participate), any incentives for participation will not be awarded. We may also remove you from our (disabled) user tester database.

Your consent

We require your express consent to use your information for certain purposes. By continuing and ticking “Yes, I consent” below, you are confirming that you:

• Understand that any information shared with you by AbilityNet or our client during recruitment; an opportunity; or any testing sessions, is strictly confidential and must not be disclosed to anyone else
• Consent to AbilityNet holding & processing my data to match you with user testing opportunities and invite you to participate in them
• Understand that your personal information will not be shared with third parties, however some of your information may be anonymised (or de-identified) and provided to AbilityNet customers as part of the results for opportunities that you participate in, if required.
• Understand that you can withdraw your consent for AbilityNet to hold & process your data at any time, and are aware of how to do so.
