Senior Management Team Profile: Mark Walker

Mark Walker, Head of Marketing and PortfolioMark Walker is Head of Marketing and Portfolio at AbilityNet, responsible for promoting our charitable and commercial services to a wide range of audiences. He also makes sure that our portfolio of commercial services match the needs of our customers.

Mark has been involved in digital inclusion and social tech since the mid-90s, building a highly successful community internet programme in Brighton & Hove. This included work with community centres, disabled people and a long-running partnership with Big Issue which provided internet and IT access to homeless people in the city - a social enterprise that provides IT support to local no-profits still floursishes in the city.

Mark first worked with AbilityNet in 2010, leading the development of the Tech4Good Awards, which were launched in 2012 and supported by a range of business and charity partners. Since then he has helped build AbilityNet's profile as a global leader in digital accessibility and digital inclusion. This includes leading the development of TechShare Pro, now Europe's largest digital accessibility event.
