Please note: Our DSA Centre is closed at this moment in time for assessments in person as we are unable to accommodate social distancing measures in place for Coronavirus (COVID-19). What happens during a Needs Assessment?

Some people will be concerned that an assessment is a test of some kind - relax and rest assured it's more like a friendly chat. You've already been approved for funding and the assessor is there as an independent expert - there to advise you and make recommendations that will help you to succeed.

Our assessor will use their skills and knowledge to explain the equipment and other resources available to help you and you may even be given the chance to test out some of the equipment. If you'd like to know more about what to expect read our blog about what happens during a Needs Assessment.
